Through this article and our recent projects, we continue to affirm our reputation for responsiveness and efficiency on the ground. Over the past few months, ETFP has been called upon for several projects, some urgent, highlighting our expertise in managing dangerous, hard-to-reach, or threatening trees. In short, ETFP is here to assist with the maintenance and management of your trees, as well as in critical situations.
Here I am, in action in your woods!

Dangerous Trees
Recent storms and high winds have caused many trees to fall under the pressure or get struck by lightning. Additionally, many diseased or dead-standing trees have become hazardous.See our article on forest diseases. These situations make certain trees a threat to the safety of residents and nearby infrastructure. ETFP was called in to intervene quickly and secure these risky areas. With our specialized equipment and expertise, we can swiftly identify dangerous trees and prune or dismantle them safely, thereby minimizing risks.
Two Interventions Due to Weather Conditions
Discover two of the projects handled by ETFP following these weather events. The first two photos show a tree snapped in the middle.
The last picture depicts a project involving a lightning-struck oak. This intervention took place in Gouhenans. The felling was done using a forestry machine with cabling. The lightning-damaged tree was located near a power line and a road. ETFP implemented the most suitable solution for felling the oak while ensuring environmental safety.

Another Intervention on a Declining Tree

Moreover, the quote is always free! Additionally, our service area includes Haute-Saône, Doubs, and the Territoire de Belfort.
Pruning Near Power Lines
Invasive vegetation near power lines is a constant problem due to the risk of line damage and power outages. In recent months, ETFP has been commissioned several times to perform pruning work to prevent the risk of short circuits or fires. This type of project is integral to our work. It allows us to carry out line clearing operations with precision, ensuring the continuity of electrical supply while preserving the integrity of the trees as much as possible. To do this, we have a complete set of equipment to operate close to the lines while ensuring safety. You can see part of our equipmentin this other article.
Furthermore, in this project, it was decided to completely fell the trees entangled in the power lines, managed by Enedis. In addition to clearing the lines without damage, the trunks were processed into logs, and the rest into firewood. I have left you a photo of these beautiful logs. For more information on processing and even stump removal following an intervention on your land, I suggest you continue reading.
Wood Valorisation
When a tree is felled, it opens up a multitude of possibilities for its valorisation. Two popular options available to landowners and forestry professionals are wood chips and firewood. Each solution offers its own benefits in terms of use, energy efficiency, and environmental impact. ETFP strives, whenever possible, to find the best option for each felled tree. Depending on quantities, location, tree species, and log size, we offer timber sales, wood chip production, or firewood processing.
Wood Chips: Green Energy for a Sustainable Future
Wood chips are shredded pieces of wood, typically produced from the branches and trunks of felled trees. They are mainly used as a renewable energy source in biomass boilers. This combustion process generates heat, which can be used for domestic heating, industrial purposes, or even electricity production. The major advantage of wood chips is their contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By burning wood from renewable sources, such as sustainably managed forests, wood chips help combat climate change while promoting a circular economy.
ETFP is equipped to prepare wood chipping. Feel free to check outour equipment. We are thus a player in this wood valorisation sector, as you can see from this year’s project below orour previous article on wood processing.
